Today there is a discovery of a way to do quantum computing on a silicon chip. It is an amazing leap forward with our current technology that may allow the average coder to utilize this new way of operating code. And then create a new wave of programs that can solve complex problems; the main reason why quantum computing is so great is because we can process data quicker. The first video below shows a run down of how quantum computing works and how it differs from binary which we use today. The second video below also talks about how quantum computing works but also a new way to use quantum logic in our own silicon chips.
